The Decatur Police Department needs your help in solving this week’s crime of the week.

On October 27 at approximately 7:02 AM, a robbery to a person occurred at Dollar General located at 2922 N. Martin Luther King. The victim was approached by a subject in the parking lot and sprayed in the face with an unknown substance. The victim was then battered and knocked to the ground. Ultimately, the suspect fled with U.S. currency.

The suspect is described as unknown race, unknown sex, 600/husky build, wearing a dark green coat, black pants, gloves and a black ski mask with only the eyes cut out.

The Decatur Police Department needs your help in solving this crime. If you have any information about this crime, please call crime stoppers at 423-TIPS. You do not have to give your name. Crime stoppers will pay $500 or more for information that leads to an arrest on the crime of the week.
